das.Brett – Balance in Motion

das.Brett is a versatile wooden balance board for kids and adults. It can be used for open-ended movement play, balance and coordination exercises, fitness and yoga or simply to add more movement to everyday life.

Its curved shape invites you to wobble and balance while opening up many other possibilities: kids can turn it into a bridge or tunnel, while adults can integrate it into their workout or use it at a standing desk.

The Difference: Its Elastic Flex

One of the distinctive features of das.Brett is its noticeable flex. Thanks to its special construction from eleven layers of beech veneer, the board is stable while remaining elastic. It gives slightly under load – similar to a snowboard.

Instead of feeling rigid, it has a pleasantly springy feel. At the same time, das.Brett responds to shifts in body weight with subtle movements that constantly need to be balanced. This effect is particularly noticeable for adults and makes balancing especially dynamic.

For Kids & Adults

Kids tend to explore das.Brett intuitively: wobbling, balancing, sitting, lying down or incorporating it into their own movement games. Its simple shape leaves plenty of room for imagination and different ways to move.

Adults can use das.Brett for balance training, coordination, stability exercises, fitness and yoga. At a standing desk, it also adds movement to an otherwise static working position.

In this way, das.Brett can accompany different stages of life – from open-ended movement play in childhood to balance and fitness training for adults.

Naturally Oiled – Each Board Is a Hand-Finished Piece

With the naturally oiled version, the characteristic grain of the beech wood remains fully visible. The board is not coloured but treated with linseed oil.

Each das.Brett is sanded, oiled and polished by hand in our Leipzig workshop. Every board has its own individual wood grain, structure and subtle variations in colour. The result is not a completely uniform mass-produced item, but a carefully finished piece with its own individual character.

The smoothly oiled surface can be lightly sanded and re-oiled when needed. Minor signs of use can therefore be worked on and the surface refreshed even after extended use.

Cork Strips – Floor Protection, Grip & Reduced Noise

Two cork strips on the underside make this version particularly suitable for hard and smooth floors such as parquet, other wooden floors or tiles.

The cork protects the floor from direct contact with the wood while also helping to protect the underside of the board. The strips also reduce noise while rocking and balancing.

On smooth surfaces they provide additional grip and help reduce slipping. This can be particularly comfortable for anyone who prefers a little more stability while balancing.
