Stretch the cloth, pull, launch—and catch it again.
flup is an intuitive throwing and catching game featuring a unique throwing technique that even young children quickly grasp.
It is played in pairs. Each player holds a throwing cloth by two wooden sticks. The soft flup bag is placed on the cloth and launched into the air with a quick pulling motion of the sticks. The partner catches the bag with their own cloth—and immediately sends it back.
The distance and height of the flup bag’s flight are controlled by the movement and tension of the cloth. This allows players to succeed at their first throws quickly, while a little practice makes it possible to achieve longer, higher, and more precise passes.
There is no fixed objective: you can try to achieve as many consecutive throws as possible together, challenge each other, or invent your own rules. flup works just as well cooperatively as it does competitively.
Start easily—keep improving
The basic movement is quickly understood, making flup accessible even to younger children. At the same time, the game challenges coordination, timing, reaction speed, and a sense of force and trajectory—keeping it engaging for older children and adults alike.
Whether in the living room, gym, garden, or park: flup requires little space, is quick to set up, and can be played both indoors and outdoors.
Soft, safe, and made for throwing
Weighing approximately 80 g, the flup bag is filled with millet and encased in cork leather. It is soft and comfortable to catch—and an accidental hit doesn't hurt.
Unlike a ball, the throwing bag simply stays put after landing and doesn't roll away. This makes flup particularly well-suited for smaller play areas and indoor use.

Upcycling – every flup is slightly different
flup throwing cloths are made from repurposed textiles given a second life. The fabrics are carefully selected, cleaned, cut, and sewn, then dyed using natural colors.
As various textiles are reused, each cloth may vary slightly in shade, texture, and small details. This is precisely what makes every flup unique.
The cloths can be easily removed from the wooden sticks and washed at 40°C – practical after outdoor play or frequent use.
Manufacturing and assembly take place in Leipzig and the surrounding region.
Recommended for ages 4 and up.
Warning: Not suitable for children under 3 years of age.
